Design and digital curation for a virtual space the visually impaired

This chapter describes the digital curation process of a pilot project called “I Remembered You,” which established a network of volunteers to create and organize audio content for individuals, groups, and institutions during the Covid-19 pandemic. The goal is to combat loneliness and provide accessibility for people with visual impairments. The project also aims to collaborate with Design professionals and related fields, using theoretical and aesthetic concepts to promote the autonomy of the target audience. It presents the planning of a digital platform for management and communication, aiming to strengthen the self-esteem, motivation, and social integration of people with and without visual impairments, both during and after the pandemic.
